Peacock, Owler Bar

I have lived in Sheffield and now Derbyshire for 30 years and had not been to the Chequers for some time. I was impressed with the food enough to write this review as it was excellent. And I eat out while travelling for work about 10 weeks a year.

Great food, and staff, big mention to Adrian and John both of whom were very helpful and attentive. All meals were beautifully presented and great quality. Well worth a visit.

Had a very pleasant evening meal at The Peacock, Owler Bar. Menu was varied, service was quick and the atmosphere was welcoming especially to our 2 dogs, with a special ‘bar’ of toys, blankets, biscuits and water with varied sized bowls.   The meal was nicely presented and tasty. We were  served by Matt who was courteous, amusing and helpful.

Best Sunday dinner around

Been there with my wife and our dog. We found everything for her, bowls, treats and cloth to sleep. Trio Sunday roast was so tender and well made. I probably ate the best yorkshire pudding I have ever eaten in my life. The view from the window is fantastic. The restaurant is fantastic.

Dog friendly

We went back to the Peacock and was not disappointed.  Excellent food, great atmosphere and the staff are amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them
